Wards heads in Kaduna state have vowed to expose bad eggs and criminal elements in their midst especially within their domains to effectively curtail banditry and security challenges in the state.

The Kaduna state Governor, Mallam Uba Sani, had earlier assured the citizens of his commitment to tackle head on, all forms of security challenges in the state.

The governor also pledged to involve traditional leaders at all levels while assuring them of his determination to upgrade their social wellbeing for effective discharge of duty.

“In fact, tackling security and other communal issues have been our day to day activities among our communities, so for government to recognize or importance and engage us officially, it’s really a thing of joy.

“And we are more than ready to work hand in hand with the government to identify, fish out and expose all criminal elements in our domains.

“However, in order to record success to this laudable initiative by the state Governor, Ward heads need to be adequately incentivized.” He stated.

Dubanni lamented the poor social well-being of most of the ward Heads whom were the closest authority in every  community yet they were not on the payroll of government despite their significance.

“I want urge the state Governor to first of all begin by enumerating the number of the ward heads as well as capturing their bio-data to be able to have more control. Next is to fix and allocate some renumeration to them to boost their performance.”

Dubanni noted that the ward heads as the closest authority in every community hence the need to accord them official recognition by the government to enable them have more respect among their communities.

He also suggested that government should make it a law that all government appointees and political office holders must obtain letter of good conduct from the heads of various their communities before given any position.

The ward head explained that such action will produce people of proven integrity and leaders of credible background for the citizens.
