I’ll outperform Buhari if elected president – Dara

Social Democratic Party presidential aspirant, Mr John Dara has stated that the worst performing president in Nigeria would out-perform the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari in governing the country.
Dara, who made this remark when he came to the party headquarters in Abuja to purchase his expression of interest and nomination forms stated that Buhari is not doing well at all, adding that “it is almost an insult to measure himself with the current president.” Asked what he could do differently from what the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari is doing in office, Dara said: “it is almost an insult to measure himself with President Buhari.
It is not difficult to outperform Muhammadu Buhari, anybody can, anybody is better than Buhari”, he said.
According to Dara, any nation that is ruled by too old, too weak and too sick cannot fulfill its destiny promising that his government would bring the youth and the women who have excelled in their various field of endeavour on board He stated that Nigerian youth has every reason to be discouraged or give up on their country stressing it is the resilience of the youth that has made them to bounce back in the affairs of the nation.
Describing himself as the bridge between the old and the young and between the north and the south, he stated that he understood the yearnings and aspiration of the people “As I have said to you.
I am the bridge between the very old and the very young; I am the bridge between the north and the south.
I understand these yearnings and my goal is to take the youth and women in particular to take charge of commanding height of politics in Nigeria.
“The truth is that any nation that is being run by people who are too old, too weak, too sick cannot fulfil our destiny and therefore the young people of Nigeria who are excelling in every field of endeavour should be brought in board, should be fully involved.
The same thing with the women.” The aspirant who described himself as a social and minority rights activist said the political class has failed the people due to their obsession with selfinterest saying that the leaders have not seen the challenge and responsibility of nation building making them to compromise national interest.
The SDP chieftain stated that while incompetence and self aggrandisement holds way in leadership, quality and excellent people are intimidated to run for offices and therefore shy away from contesting
