Igbo group hails Umahi’s appointment as minister of works

An Igbo group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide Friday congratulated Senator Dave Umahi on his appointment as the Minister of Works by President Bola Tinubu.

The group expressed confidence that Umahi would tackle infrastructural deficiencies in Nigeria.

In a staIn a statement issued by its Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Ohanaeze said it was hopeful about the appointment of Umahi, as the Minister Works, whom it described as a “champion of infrastructural revolution” in Ebonyi state during his tenure as governor.

The organization also urged the other Igbo ministers appointed by President Tinubu to be worthy ambassadors of the Igbo people.

“We are delighted with the appointment of Senator Dave Umahi as Minister of Works by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Umahi is a man of proven capacity and integrity, and we are confident that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on the task of fixing Nigeria’s infrastructure,” Isiguzoro said.

“Umahi is a champion of infrastructural revolution. During his tenure as governor of Ebonyi State, he transformed the state from a rural State into one of the most developed states in Nigeria. He built roads, Flyovers, hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure that have improved the lives of the people of Ebonyi.

“We are confident that Umahi will replicate the Ebonyi magic in tackling the infrastructural deficiencies in Nigeria. We urge him to work hard and deliver on the mandate given to him by President Tinubu, in line with the RENEWED HOPE agenda of the Federal Government.

“We also urge the other Igbo ministers appointed by President Tinubu to be worthy ambassadors of the Igbo people. They should work hard to promote the interests of the Igbo people and to ensure that the Igbo are given a fair share of the national cake.”
