Hajj: Arik Air deploys additional aircraft to speed up operations

Nigerian carrier, Arik Air disclosed on Thursday that it is working closely with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to ensure that all international pilgrims registered with the Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON) are transported within the time frame allotted for this year’s exercise.

The airline said already, it has deployed additional aircraft for the exercise and are now wrapping up the airlift in Lagos, Abuja and Kano.

A terse electronic statement by its spokesman, Adebanji Ola indicated that the company regretted the initial hitch which occurred during the airlift of it alloted pilgrims.

The statement said “We want to thank the leadership of NAHCON for its intervention and also appeal for the understanding of the pilgrims and Tour Operators.”
