Group thumbs up Gov Bala on peace, good governance

A non-governmental organisation, Concerned Citizens of Like Minds, Monday, described the executive governor of Bauchi state, Sen. Bala A. Mohammed (Kauran Bauchi) as a pure gold whose leadership has brought freedom to the people of Bauchi state.

A press statement issued by chairman of the group, Auwal Dalhatu Sani said the organisation was received at the Government House, Bauchi by Governor Bala Mohammed alongside chief of staff, Dr. Ladan Salihu, PDP state chairman, Alh. Hamza Akuyam, deputy speaker, Hon Danlami Kawule and the special adviser on media, Comr. Muhktar Gidado.

Dalhatu Sani said the Concerned Citizens made up of youth from the 19 northern states of Nigeria are passionate about the well being of the country and are committed to working with the governor for the progress of the region.

Sani said the objective of the organisation is to foster peace and unity in the country, looking at the ugly situation the country is faced with, including banditry, kidnapping and sundry vices.

Sani said it is worthwhile to think of ways of curbing the mayhem by partnering with stakeholders of like minds and encourage Nigerians that have been in the forefront of promoting peace and unity of the nation.

He said, the group also took time to mirror the activities of those at the helm of affairs and to encourage those that are doing well in promoting peace and unity of the nation in order to sustain the tempo.

On his part, Mujaheel Amin Modibbo said the group visited Governor Bala Mohammed in order to appreciate him and deputy speaker of Bauchi House Assembly, Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule for the wonderful efforts being made to secure the state.

The group presented key items in line with the governor’s areas of achievements, such as exercise books to support his educational projects; key holders to be given to the drivers of 1000 tricycles distributed across the state; and calendar to be distributed to the civil service in order to remind them that lockdown is over in the state.

Responding, Sen. Bala Mohammed, appreciated the group for their quest to pursue peace and unity of our country, he promised to stand with the group in the raise of pursuing peace and unity of the nation.
