Group hails Yuguda over Mu’azu’s nomination for PDP chair

A group, Bauchi Renaissance Forum, has commended the Bauchi state governor, Malam Isa Yuguda, for nominating Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu for appointment as National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to a press release jointly issued by its chairman and secretary, Mohammed Yusuf and Al-Amin Muhammed, respectively, the  group described the move as the “best and first” in the history of Bauchi state.
It said: “In the history of the PDP, there has never been a time where a seating PDP governor presented a candidate for the office of the National Chairman of the party who happens to come from the same state with the governor as witnessed in the just concluded national executive meeting of the party, where Isa Yuguda nominated Adamu

Mu’azu for the appointment of the chairman of the party and he was unanimously accepted by the committee.”
The Forum also lauded Bauchi state government for the settlement of all outstanding benefits and entitlements of the former governor.

The group dismissed the insinuations that Yuguda and Mu’azu were still in disagreement, saying that the duo had decided to bury their differences to move the state and the country forward.
“These two sons of Bauchi state have long decided to forget their political differences to work together in the best interest of the party, the state and the country at large.”
