Group donates palliatives to Nyanya residents

A social group, Markengee Touching Lives International Initiative, Thursday donated palliatives to residents of Area C Nyanya, Abuja as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The palliatives, which were in the form of food stuff and face masks were received by the residents who lauded the effort of the association.

Speaking during the presentation of those items, the co-founder, Mrs Ngozi Ajiamah, said her organisation was moved by the plight of Nigerians who need help especially at a time that the corona virus pandemic has affected everyone’s source of livelihood.

“We were moved by the need to show concern to our fellow human beings whose source of livelihood has been temporarily suspended because of the lockdown. If this is what humanity is all about, it’s worth doing. As you can see, everyone here is happy about what we are able to give them. I enjoin other Nigerians to do same.”

A resident beneficiary, Aisha Adamu, told Blueprint that she was grateful to the group for finding Area C as the place to extend the hospitality.

“Many families here as you can see cannot afford a meal now, but this initiative has taken the burden from them today. I wish other bodies would equally do same like Markengee.”
