Group blames Dogara’s camp for Bauchi APC’s crisis

A group of youths under the umbrella of Bauchi Youths for Good Governance has blamed the Speaker, House of Representatives,  Yakubu Dogara, and his supporters for the lingering crisis rocking the state ruling party and the issues between Governor Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi state and the Dogara’s rivalry gang.

Chairman of the group, Comrade Samaila Sani, during a press briefing said, “We received with absolute dismay that some disgruntled elements and agents of retrogression who claimed to be the elders and stakeholders of Bauchi state declaring support for Dogara ahead of the 2019 general elections and their Trojan horse and concealed stratagem letter titled, “Expression of Solidarity” to our leader President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sani said, it was unfortunate that, those who were the bane of the development of Bauchi state in the past and had previously drained the state’s treasury for selfish gains, are now under strange marriages of convenience. He noted that Isa Yuguda from a different political party is ganging up with Dogara and some people whom apart from disrespecting our traditional institution that caused them their traditional title, have mercilessly conspired to empty the Bauchi state treasury during the last administration that was characterized by elephantine lootings, accrued internal and external debts, and unpaid workers’ salaries in the thick of predicaments they’ve left behind.

“How could Dogara, whose local government was the only one President Buhari lost in the 2015 presidential election out of the 20 we have in the state; conspired with PDP to emerge speaker against his party supremacy; boycotted all the APC’s congresses in the state and challenging same in court; boycotted Buhari’s state visit to Bauchi; and aligning himself with the nPDP be a worthy son of the state and helped the president as ascribed by the self-acclaimed elders?

“And Governor Abubakar as the true worthy son of Bauchi state had immediately dropped to Bauchi from Abuja where he was attending issues of national importance to assess the level of destruction. President Buhari cut short his busy schedules to visit Bauchi when the windstorm and fire disaster wreaked havoc in the state killing many and destroying properties worth billions of naira. Where was Dogara, the self-styled worthy son of Bauchi, who hasn’t visited the state up till today? He queried.

On reconciliation, the group questioned Yuguda’s business in the APC crisis, adding that if anybody wants reconciliation, there’s mechanism set up by the party for that purpose. It said Gov. Abubakar has extended an olive branch for anyone whose genuine interest will be the unity and development of Bauchi state and the APC.
