Zamfara state Governor, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, has appealed to All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the state to remain united at ward, local government, state and national levels to enable the party win the general elections in 2019.
The governor made the call in an interview with newsmen at his resident in Talata-Mafara, headquarters of Talata-Mafara local government area of the state on the just concluded nationwide APC ward congress in the state. According to him, the call became imperative considering that the party will have new leadership at state, local government, ward and national levels across the country, preparatory to the general elections in 2019.
Yari expressed satisfaction over the last Saturday ward congress in the state and urged the new ward leaders across the 14 local government areas in the state to work assiduously by ensuring peace, unity and progress of the party.
He described the congress as credible, free and fair, saying his administration will remain loyal and committed to the party’s guiding principles in order to ensure that the retains its power in the next election.
