Gov.Sule presents new buses to Nasarawa, Amazons Fc

In furtherance of his commitment to strengthen the state-owned professional football clubs, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa state, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has presented two brand new 56-seater buses to Nasarawa United(men’s) and Nasarawa Amazons(women’s) to reposition the club for optimal production.

Presenting keys of the vehicles to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Othman Bala Adam, at the Government House, Lafia, who in turn presented same to the two clubs’ Chairmen, Barr. Isaac Danladi and Hajiya Husseina Suleiman Nagogo respectively, the governor reiterated his administration’s unalloyed support to the players, management and entire staff of both teams to ensure that they excel in the domestic inter-club competitions and project the state in good light, while charging them to aim for glory in the new football league season and in future.

“Let me congratulate you for all the wonderful jobs that you have been doing. 

“We feel if there is any other time to encourage you, it has to be now.

“The purpose of giving you these buses are far more important than what they were initially purchased for.

“We hope and pray that you will be able to find proper use of the vehicles and resolve most of your logistics and transportation challenges”, the Governor said.

In his reactions, an elated Nasarawa United Chairman, Barr. Isaac Danladi, expressed joy to the governor, saying his team and that Nasarawa United and its entire management, staff, officials and players are overwhelmed by the kind gestures and timely intervention of the number one citizen of the Solid Minerals State, a feeling corroborated by the his counterpart from Nasarawa Amazons, Hajiya Husseina Suleiman Nagogo. 

“This is the first time, in my almost a decade as chairman of Nasarawa United, that we are getting this kind of treatment. 

“This is best we have ever had as far as supporting sports generally in Nasarawa State. 

“We love the Governor and trust his leadership capacity to change narrative.”
