FUT Minna matriculates 5531 students, harps on e-platform lectures

The vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Minna ((FUT MINNA), Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, has charged the 5,531 matriculating students of the institution to embrace the e- platform lectures introduced by the management.

Professor Kuta gave the charge Monday after the students took matriculation oaths at the Gidan-Kwano campus.

He said:  “You are also encouraged to take advantage of the Information Technology Services (ITS) facilities and services. You will observe that you are the second set of student’s on-campus to receive your lectures on e-platform.

As new students, everything may seem unfamiliar to you. However, what you should know is that the university emphasises on innovative practical experience to prepare you for responsible global citizenship.”

He added that the university stands as a shining example of knowledge and innovation within and outside Nigeria, representing the nation’s dedication to self-sufficiency in Science, Engineering, and Technology.

“You should avoid people of questionable character, as the university only awards degrees to students who excel both in character and learning. You should refrain from acts contrary to the rules and regulations of the university, including examination malpractice, fraud of all kinds, financial racketeering, cultism, fighting, assault, rumour-mongering, and illicit drug dealing.”

He  stated the university’s determination on its scientific and technological drive, adding that, ” to this end, we have up to date science laboratories and workshops to serve your needs.”
