FRCN DG to cooperative leadership: Sustain trust of members

The Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria,FRCN, Dr. Mohammed Bulama, has charged the leadership of the FRCN Headquarters Cooperative Society to sustain the trust of members as they manage their savings for the next two years.

The FRCN DG gave the charge when the newly elected executive led by the President, Mr. Ndubueze Chidoka, paid him a familiarisation visit in his office in Abuja.

Dr. Bulama, reminded the leadership of the society the purpose of a Cooperative body, noting that the goal is to provide good services to its members which they otherwise may not have been possible to access acting as individuals.

Dr. Bulama urged the executive to live up to their billing and treat every matter with due diligence geared towards fulfilling the divergent needs of members.

“You have to help us achieve that goal of having a contented work force. I consider you partners in progress and I will not take you for granted. I am committed to leaving FRCN much better than I met it and part of the ways to do that is to make sure that the work force is highly motivated.I congratulate you on your election and be upright in all you do”

Speaking specifically on the challenge the Cooperative is confronting regarding Idu Land, Dr. Bulama advised the leaders to urgently come up with a report of the land for an onward submission to the Minster of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT in a bid to take full possession of the said land. “On the land issues, I will take it up with the appropriate authorities and I assure you we shall pursue it to a logical conclusion”

The President of the FRCN headquarters Cooperative Society Ltd, Mr. Chidoka, spoke on the commitment of the society under his watch, stressing that it is anchored on a tripod aimed at satisfying the needs of the members of the Cooperative Society.

“We came on board with three tripod, the first is disbursement of loans and we are upscaling the network of our savings to restore full services of loans disbursement we are committed to resolving any outstanding hiccups in Idu and Gwagwalada lands allocation. DG Idu land is where we need your help seriously. We are yet to get a building plan for the land and finally having a functional Food Bank is our plan for our members. You know this’s one of the ways to put smiles on members faces,” he said.

The new executive of the FRCN headquarters Cooperative Society Ltd were elected on November 20, 2023 and sworn into office on 15th December 2023.
