Flamingoes land in Costa Rica

Nigeria’s U-17 women team, the Flamingoes, landed in Costa Rica, venue of the 2014 FIFA U World Cup yesterday evening.
The girls have been on a 19-day camping exercise in Faro, Portugal, where they played several friendlies to put them in shape for the competition which begins this weekend.
Nigeria are pooled in Group B of the championship and will face China PR on Sunday in Alajuela before taking on Mexico and Colombia in the other group fixtures.
The fourth edition of the women cadet competition begins on March 15 and will end on April 4.
