Etsu Nupe mourns Ahmadu NITECO

 

The Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has described the death of Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, popularly called Ahmadu NITECO, the Turakin Nupe, as shocking and a great loss to the Nupe kingdom.

According to Alhaji Abubakar, the deceased was a business tycoon and an astute administrator, who contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Nigeria.

The Etsu Nupe said the death of the Turaki Nupe is an irreplaceable loss which has created a wide vacuum difficult to fill.

Late Ahmadu NITECO, who was a businessman based in Lagos and a

a director at Vanguard newspapers, died after a protracted illness in Lagos. He was buried in his country hometown Bida, Niger state.

The monarch said that the deceased had created positive precedence of mutual inter-relationship between the rich, peasants, the old and the young,

Abubakar stated that the deceased showed genuine love to the people, irrespective of tribal and religious inclinations.

“In spite of these, he was also a Godly man who had the interest of his subjects at heart above any other thing.

“Though God has His reasons for taking him at this point in time, the people of the state had enjoyed his fatherly advice and he will be greatly missed.”

The Etsu Nupe, therefore, extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late Turaki Nupe and his business associates. He prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the deceased Aljannat Firdausi.

Alhaji Baba Yahaya, Jakada Etsu Nupe, represented the royal father during the Janaiza prayers held at Idil praying ground in Bida led by the Chief Imam of Nupe land, Sheikh Adamu Liman-Yakatun, on Friday.
