Emir of Gombe urges citizens to be patients with the new administration

The Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, has urged the people of Gombe state to prayer and be patient with the current administration in the state.

Alhaji Abubakar Shehu made the call when he paid the traditional Sallah homage to Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya at Government House.

He called on the Governor to follow the footsteps of his father, late Alhaji Yahaya Umaru, a renowned Gombe business mogul who contributed a lot to the development of the state by establishing many businesses and companies thereby creating a lot of employment opportunities for the people of the state.

 “He was also known for his philanthropist gestures, where he built uncountable houses and offered it free without payment of rent to the less privileged in the society until they are able to own their own houses.” He said.

In his remark, the State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya, expressed happiness that the Emir appreciated the difficult situation the new Government found itself.

 He berated the immediate past Government of Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo for mismanagement of the recently released Paris Club refund where he stated that out of the billions of naira the State received, Dankwambo only left about 800 hundred million naira from the Paris Club Refund.
