Election results stream in as rain disrupts, sorting, counting processes

Results of the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives elections have started streaming in as at the time of filing this report.

Report from Blueprint Correspondent who covered Jabi/Darki biyu area has it that the Labour Party (LP) led in the two polling units, while the People Democratic Party (PDP) trailed behind.

It was not a good showing for the All Progressives Congress (APC), as its candidates performed poorly.

Meanwhile, rainfall almost disrupted counting processes in Jabi Upstairs and Darki biyu.

Report reaching our Correspondent is that some areas were not so lucky, as rain disrupted counting processes.

Some of the places according to reports are Wuse, Jahi and Airport road and Life Camp area.

The breakdown of the election results at Mango Tree Polling Unit Code 119 under AMAC LG Area Code 06 has it that Labor Party Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi led others with 140 votes, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku with 34 votes, while Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had 5 votes.

Other results as announced by the Presiding Official are the Senatorial and House of Representatives elections.

In the Senatorial election, candidates of the Labour Party, Mrs Ireti Kingibe got 95, PDP candidate got 73, while candidate of the APC got 9.

In the House of Representatives result, candidate of the Labour Party had 90 votes, PDP 67 votes and APC 9 votes.
