Eid-el Fitri: Igoche congratulates Muslims, pays glowing tribute to Coach Brown

 

The Initiator of Mark D Ball Basketball Championship, Mr. Mark Igoche has felicitated Nigerian Muslims, especially those in the “Basketball Family” on the occasion of the Eid-el Fitri celebration to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Mark in a statement he personally signed on Saturday wished all Muslim Faithfuls God’s guidance and blessings, urging them to continue to pray for peace progress and development of basketball in Nigeria.

“I congratulate all Muslims in Nigeria especially those in the “Basketball Family” on the occasion of the Eid-el Fitri celebration. Your sacrifices and supplications during the holy month of Ramadan will berth a new Nigeria and revamp our consistency, which is basketball. As I urge you to keep praying for peace, progress and development of basketball in Nigeria. While wishing all Muslim Faithfuls God’s guidance, I say  Eid-el Fitri.”Mark said in a statement.

The Basketball Promoter also paid glowing tribute to Sacramento Kings’ head coach, Mike Brown who was named the 2023 Coach of the Year by the National Basketball Coaches Association.

Mark said, “In your first year with Sacramento Kings, you demonstrated the Nigerian spirit of conquering unconquerable grounds; this you have done by ending the longest playoff drought in NBA history. On behalf of the New Face of Basketball, I wish you more achievements in the world of basketball with the NBA 2023 coach of the year in sight. “Mark’s statement concludes.

This season, the Nigerian coach led  the Kings to capture their first Pacific Division title since 2003 and finished with a record of 48-34, an 18-game improvement over last season. Sacramento finished the regular season with a 25-16 record on the road.
