ECDA seeks N500m for community school 

The Eggon Cultural Development Association (ECDA) worldwide said it is seeking N500 million to rescue the Eggon Community Secondary School, Nassarawa-Eggon, in Nasarawa state.

The association said arrangement had been concluded for the launching of an appeal fund to revive, equip and renovate the school.

A statement signed by the chairman, central planning committee, Sule Allu, and issued to newsmen Sunday in Nassarawa, Eggon, said the fund is to upgrade the science and computer laboratories, purchase books for the library, ICT facilities, building of additional blocks of classrooms, renovation and fencing of the school.

“The Eggon community Secondary School, an initiative of ECDA, was established in September 1979, with the aim to complementing government efforts in the areas of manpower development, moral values, discipline and sound teaching in line with the national policy of education.

The statement said the launch of the appeal fund will be under the chairmanship of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman, All Progressives Congress, and it is scheduled to hold December 3, 2022 at the school playground, Nassarawa-Eggon.
