DPR seals 8 filling stations in Adamawa, Taraba

Department of Petroleum Product (DPR) has announced the sealing of eight filling stations in Adamawa and Taraba states over misconduct.
Operations Controller in charge of Adamawa and Taraba states, Engr. Musa Akin, who made the revelation in Yola, said the measures were taken to control the persistent fuel scarcity in the two states.
He said: “As part of stiff measures to control the persistent fuel scarcity 8 filling stations sealed have been sealed off in Adamawa and Taraba states.

“The stations were sealed off after found selling the product above official pump price and diversion.”
He added that six sealed stations were in Adamawa, while two others were in Taraba.
He advised major and independent petroleum marketers association to comply with the DPR act to ensure undisrupted supply and dispensation of the product.
“We are now receiving between 14 and 19 trucks daily.”
According to him, the daily petroleum demand of the two states was between 50 and 70 trucks.
