Delta police boss, Aduba, retires at 60

Delta state Commissioner of Police, Ayo Ikechukwu Aduba, has retired from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Although, he did not complete the required 35 years retirement age, his 60th birthday anniversary stood for him.
He was described by his admirers as “daring and performing,” saying that he was fulfilled that “blood thirsty and dare-devil armed robbers and kidnapping kingpins in Delta state faced full wrath of the law.”
The command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Celestina Kalu, said of him: “The CP has smashed numerous gangs of violent criminals and worthy of mention is Boko Haram sect that has killed so many policemen and good citizens in Bauchi state amongst several breakthroughs in his current posting to Delta state.”

She said “posterity has in a short while earned him so many achievements,” adding that “as a goal-getter of honour, distinction and excellence, a dynamic, pragmatic police officer and by reason of his multiple training and academic inclination, he has combined both academics and experience to affect the lives of this generation.”
She listed over 50 awards as part of the commendations he bagged to include Quintessence Award of Excellence by MIC sage Communication and Publishers of Network Africa, award of Transparency in Office by NAOAS UNEC and Ambassador of Peace Award by Igbo Law Students Association of University of Jos.
