Dankwambo’s ardent supporter defects to APC

A former House of Representatives aspirant in 2015 election under the platform of Peoples Democratic party in Gombe state, Alhaji Auwal Abdullahi has defected to the All Progressives Congress. In an interview with newsmen in Gombe, a former PDP secretary for Pindiga Ward, Alhaji Adamu Mamman Pindiga, who also defected to APC said, arrangements had been concluded for à warm reception of the chieftain to the APC. He said the defection of Auwal Abdullahi would give the state a good picture in electing leaders with charisma. According to him, the defection of Auwal Abdullahi, “known for his vibrancy will paralyze the activities of PDP in the state and Dankwambo’s presidential campaign”. Pindiga, who did not hide his feelings, said the cordial relationship between Abdullahi and Governor Dankwambo had failed to yield positive impact even as he said Abdullahi did wonderfully well to ensure that Dankwambo was reelected for second tenure in the 2015 governorship election. It could be recalled that Akko is one of the local government areas that determines the chances of winning elections in the state and the mass defection of PDP supporters to APC has carried the light of the day. Our correspondent reports that there is also a move by the younger brother to Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, Alhaji Buhari Dankwambo to dump PDP for APC before the week runs out. Buhari Dankwambo in a chart in his office told our correspondent that arrangements had been concluded for his defection to APC before Sunday this week.
