The Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria, (EHORECON), has called on Nigerians to adhere strictly to provisions of the COVID-19 control protocol in other to halt the virus from spreading.
The Acting Registrar of EHORECON, Baba Yakubu Mohammed made this known recently while speaking to journalists in Abuja, adding that the preventive health system is responsible for the containment of the virus.
He said that the Minister of Environment, Dr. Mohammad mahmood Abubabak, gave directive for immediate reactivation of all the resources to do intensive environmental surveillance and inspection.
“Also making sure that more specially in public places, in homes, introduction of artificial and national ventilation process because is going a long way in reducing the potency of the virus to be able to infect humans,” he stressed.
Mohammed urged Nigerians to avoid crowded places in order to reduce the virus.
