Coal City Football League kicks off in Enugu





 Coal City Football League, (Boulu Ogbe) finals will kick off in Enugu on September 18, 2022.

The league will kick  off with 17 teams battling for the trophy in the third edition.



With the  draws that took place inside the Rangers International training pitch, Liberty, Agbani Road and Emene will face each other at the first match of the league sponsored by Betking Nigeria.



The preliminaries of the league started on Aug. 16 which produced the 17 teams for the finals.



All the matches of the league has been scheduled to take place at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC) which hosted the second edition.



In his opening speech, the coordinator of the league, Emeka Oparaji said the league has witnessed improvement and success since it’s inception.



“For the past three years we have been doing this project, it has been successful because of the teams and their coaches support.



“I want to thank our sponsor, Betking Nigeria and other partners for standing by us in this noble project aimed at eradicating crimes.



“The aim of this project is to unite Enugu Youths and I wish to call on all the participating teams  to give the project the honour it deserved, “he said.

The Regional sales manager of Betking Nigeria, Henry Madubugo said the company is happy to be a proud sponsor of the third edition of the league.



“It is a pleasure to sponsor this league and it has been one of the things I have been looking forth to see in our localities.



“I am happy, we are having this little opportunity to give back to the society and we are appealing for free and fair play.



“We want a competition with a decent outing and organisation so that we can increase our sponsorship,”Madubugo said.
