President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday appointed former Corps Marshall and chief executive of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Osita Chidoka as the new Aviation Minister.
Mr. Chidoka, from Anambra state, replaced Stella Oduah who was relieved of the appointment following controversial purchase of armoured vehicles.
The president also appointed a former lecturer in the University of Abuja, Abubakar Olanrewaju Suleiman, as the Minister of National Planning Minister and deputy chairman of National Planning Commission.
Mr. Olanrewaju, from Kwara state, replaced Shamsudeen Usman, who was removed by the president.
The two ministers were sworn-in at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Jonathan also named Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi as the new Corps Marshall and chief executive of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
Until his appointment, Mr. Oyeyemi was the Deputy Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
The president urged the new appointees to ensure they leave good legacies in their respective ministries.
He said the new FRSC boss was appointed from the commission in order to ensure stability and continuity in the system.
According to him, the appointment was a clear departure from what had been obtainable in the FRSC since its inception when its heads were appointed from outside the system.
