CBN loan: Herbalist seeks FG’s urgent intervention

A Jigawa based traditional medicine practitioner, Alhaji Shehu Hassan Birnin-Kudu has called on the federal government to prevail on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to  fulfil its pledge of granting loan facility to owners of small and medium enterprises, who had already met the criteria of accessing the loan from the nation’s apex Bank.

Speaking to newsmen in Kano Friday, Birnin-Kudu said granting the loan facility has become imperative at the time the federal government was consistently emphasising the need for Nigerians to embrace the concept of entrepreneurial development as a way of spurring speedy economic growth adding that owners of small and medium enterprises  were in dire need of CBN support to forge ahead.

According to him, owners of medium and small scale enterprises have a spectacular role to play in boosting the economy of the country since they have the much needed capacity to provide jobs for the employed  youths roaming the streets affirming that accessing the loan would be a major catalyst towards achieving the desired goal.

Birnin-Kudu, who is also the Managing Director of  Dan-Sunhu company Ltd further revealed that he was inspired into applying for the loan from the  apex Bank in view of his flair for entrepreneurial development and the craze to provide jobs to some unemployed youths affirming that the effort of the federal government in creating jobs opportunities for youths could  only be complemented with the  loan secured.

He said” I have met the stipulated criteria for accessing the loan and I am still    waiting for the CBN response. many of my colleagues have applied for such a loan and met the criteria for accessing it. what we want is the prompt response from the CBN,” he stated.

He counseled on those who would benefit from the loan to buckle-up in  settling what they were offered for such a laudable gesture to be sustained in future stressing that defaulting , would only  impeded the quest for securing future loan facilities from the nation’s apex bank.
