Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has described the recent weapons scam between Nigeria and South African governments as “shameful and embarrassing,” just as he blamed the PDP government for the insecurity bedeviling the nation.
Buhari stated this yesterday in Dutse, adding that the APC was that only political party that would restore the tarnished image of the country, and called on every Nigerian to vote for his party and liberate the country from the hands of the PDP.
He said: “When we take over power in 2015, the party will give priority to improving the civil servants by boosting their salaries, creating job opportunities for youths, as well as improving the education, health, and agriculture sectors for the better.”

The general who represented by general Lawan Jafaru Isa, said the merger of the three political parties that formed the APC was part of the grand plan to topple the ruling PDP in 2015 general election.
According to him, the APC is discouraging money politics and politics of bitterness, “so that anybody that is qualify to contest according to party constitution is free to contest for any political position.”
Earlier, the Jigawa state APC gubernatorial candidate in 2011, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, donated 37 cars worth N30 million to party chairmen in all the 27 local government councils as well as party leaders in the state  and 287 motorcycles N28.7 million for all wards chairpersons.

Badaru, who said he was yet to decide whether or not to run again, said his gesture was to empower the party to take over Jigawa state in 2015.
“What I know is that if APC presents good candidates in all the elective positions in Jigawa state, the party will take over the state in the forthcoming elections.”
