The Speaker of Zamfara state House of Assembly, Hon. Bilyaminu Moriki, is battling impeachment by majority lawmakers.
Blueprint Correspondent gathered that majority of the members were still holding a crucial meeting at the main complex of the state assembly on the matter as at the time of filling this report on Thursday evening.
A visit by Blueprint correspondent showed that the state assembly complex was shutdown as security operatives comprising police and Nigeria security and civil defense corps have been deployed to the scene.
Findings also revealed that even the mace of the assembly was said to be taken away.
No official statement on the happenings have been issued on the development.
