After battling a prolong battle with Leukemia, known as cancer of the blood, Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has reportedly died.
According to reports, Akeredolu died on Wednesday morning, December 27, 2023, while receiving treatment in Lagos, aged 67.
Before his demise, Akeredolu had few days ago handed over to his deputy Lucky Aiyedatiwa for another round of medical vacation.
Akeredolu experienced health issues after seeking medical treatment abroad in June.
Although he returned to Nigeria in September, he remained in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
