Breaking: Man, 21 commits suicide in Abuja

A 21-year-old indigene of Adamawa state, Job Paul, who worked as a gardener/security man in an estate located at Apo town of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has committed suicide.

Our reporter gathered from a reliable source at the Apo Divisional Police Headquarters that, Paul, who was recently found dead in the compound where he worked, is, on the pay roll of one Dr. Tonyo Mangote, a staff with the National Space Research and development Agency (NSRDA), Abuja.

Mangote, the owner of the house, left his worker in the house to work and on returning home, he horned severally at the gate without any response. When he could not gain entry, he alighted from his car and opened the gate by himself only for him to find the gardener/security man hanged between two generators in the house with a rope on his neck.

Blueprint learnt further that the deceased occupied and slept in the security post there with his boss alone.Dr. Mongote according to police source has not suspected any foul play in the incident yet as everything in the compound remained intact.

The police too confirmed they have not been able to suspect anybody because no bruises are noticed on the deceased body. The deceased principal had arrived home about 8.20p.m and never noticed any borne of contention as at the time of leaving house for work.

“The deceased family are still under shock as to why the young man should take is life and they are arranging to convey the corpse home for burial”, a source told our reporter.

Blueprint learnt that this is the first in recent times that such incident will be occurring in the area. As at the time of going to press efforts were in top gear by the DPO,Emega John to transfer the case to the state Criminal Investigation department(SCID).

Police officers who went to the scene said they sighted many tubers of yam in his room and many other food items that can satisfy his hunger.
