Breaking: Leadership Newspapers publisher is dead

Publisher of Leadership Newspapers Sam Nda-Isaiah is dead.

Nda-Isaiah died on Friday, family and office sources confirmed early Saturday morning.

One of them said, “A courageous publisher and chairman of Leadership newspapers Mr Sam nda Isaiah is dead.

“He died in Isolation centre last night in Gwagwalada of complications arising from COVID 19. May his soul rest in peace.”

So far, no official press statement has been issued.

But, President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sadness at the death of Publisher of Leadership Newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah, a man he describes as “a friend and ally.”

A statement by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity on Saturday morning said, “The President condoles with the media fraternity, the Nda-Isaiah family, friends and associates of the deceased, saying “the country has lost a man of conviction, a resolute and dogged believer in a better Nigeria.

“He will be sorely missed. This is a massive fish gone out of the media ocean,” President Buhari further says of the pharmacist, renowned columnist, and one time presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
