Benue: Bureau organises training for LG administrators

The Benue State Bureau for Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs (BSBLGCA) Monday organised workshop for  local government administrators to equip them with the managerial skills necessary for excellence in their roles.

Speaking at the workshop which held at Royal Choice Inn, Makurdi, the adviser to the governor in charge of the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftain Affairs, Mr Dennis Akura,  said the focus of training caretaker committee chairmen, DGSA’s, and treasurers on administrative processes, prudence, and accountability reflects a proactive approach on improving governance at the grassroots level.

He said the dedication to implement the administration’s transformation agenda, included the enforcement of a workable local government system which is crucial for driving positive change across the 23 local government areas.
He commended the governor for commitment to local government staff welfare including pensions and gratuity.

While saying as the arrow head of the third tier, the local government will never disappoint the governor, he said it was  evident that the administration is committed to fostering a conducive environment for sustainable development and progress.
