BCO BoT dismisses Pasali’s ‘suspension’


The Board of Trustees (BOT) of Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) has discarded the purported suspension of Alhaji Danladi Garba Pasali from the organisation.

In a communique signed by its grand patron, Senator Abba Ali, BOT chairman, Marcus Gundiri, foremost leader, Alhaji lsiaka Hassan, and national patron, Alhaji Quadri Abduwahab Korede, at the end of its joint meeting with the BCO executives, held at its national headquarters, Wednesday in Abuja said the BCO’s leadership remains united and indivisible. 

The BoT said there is no crack at the national headquarters down to the ward levels nationwide.

It said: “In respect of the purported suspension of Aihaji Danladi Garba Pasali as the national coordinator of BCO vide a letter on a forged BCO letterhead paper dated 17th September, 2020 which was paraded in the media, led to holding an emergency stakeholders meeting Wednesday at our national secretariat in Katampe, Abuja.”

It further said, Pasali being the national coordinator, has taken  the organisation through the keenly competitive presidential campaign election of 2019 and got victory for  President Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR, and  thereof remain the national coordinator of BCO nationwide.

“The purported suspension of Alhaji Pasali as national coordinator is unconstitutional, illegal, and was fraudulently made as such was never discussed or approved or authorised by the leadership and BoT of the organisation,” the meeting stated.

It further resolved that their promise of continuous support for President Buhari, with Pasali as national coordinator, remains unshakable.

“Therefore, no disgruntled set of people will be allowed to scuttle the organisation or distract its plans as we have been reliably and intelligently informed that some opposition politicians and or enemies of our enviable principal, President Buhari, are at work by sponsoring these evil suspension saga,” the meeting  stated.

The communiqué said, the BCO, national woman leader, Alhaja Folashade Ojo, some zonal coordinators, state coordinators, among others were physically present, while other participated via Skype respectively.

The meeting urged security agents to be on the lookout for  those parading themselves as members of the organisation, whereas, it was actually on record that they have evidently gone to another group.

“The security agencies should take note of this to avert break down of laws and orders which it is out to cause.

“The national leadership and BoT adviced its zonal and state coordinators cum all its members nationwide to remain calm and steadfast,” the communique said.
