Bayelsa unfazed by Sewe challenge

Bayelsa United head coach Richard Bubagha has assured his side will achieve the required result against Ivorian side Sewe Sport to head into the group stage of the CAf Confederation Cup.

The nation’s lone survivors on the continent lost 0 – 2 to the West African side in Abidjan in the playoff first fixture and will have to score at least three unreplied goals on tomorrow at the Sapele Township Stadium to guarantee progression to the group stage of Africa’s second-tier clubs competition.
Bubagha, who appeared unfazed by the prospect to cancel out the deficit, said Nigerians should go to sleep with both eyes closed as his wards would score three unanswered goals against the Ivorian side to clinch the group stage ticket.

“Our preparations are going smoothly for the make or break clash on Saturday against Sewe Sport.
“We have a two-goal deficit to cancel. If I said it will be tough that means either I don’t know my work or I’m not simply working.
“It won’t be tough for us to cancel the deficit as we’re determined to score three unreplied goals or even more.
The overall winners of the playoff will automatically qualify for the group stage of the competition.
