A group has berated Senator Ali Wakili, who represents Bauchi South in the National Assembly, for what it called “unguided and desperate move to discredit the recent Ward Congress in the state for cheap and selfi sh political gains.”

Th e group, Bauchi Good Governance and Integrity Group (BAGGIG), through its Chairman, Comrade Sani Musa, while reacting on the comments accredited to Sen. Ali Wakili in the Sunday Trust of August 6, 2017, said the position of the senator in the media was orchestrated by primordial instincts to cause division and chaos in the party for selfi sh gain.s Musa said APC in Bauchi “under the purposeful leadership of Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar is one family living in a peaceful political atmosphere and anybody commenting negatively on issues related to the party from his comfort zone in Abuja, is doing so to simply earn wings of his egocentric and selfabsorbed motives or acting a script of his paymasters in creating disunity and portraying the party in bad light.”

“If the committee sent by the national secretariat and other parties involved in the process can adjudge the congresses as free, fair and transparent, why is Wakili so desperate to discredit the whole process and how could someone that doesn’t visit his constituency be given eye witness account of what has transpired during the congresses?” Sani called on Wakili to desist from conducts capable of creating a state of utter confusion and disorder in a platform that gave him the opportunity to be in the Senate.

“Let him begin to see the good side of the APC-led administration in Bauchi state than becoming wild and acting as a political fault detector of the regime,” he said. While all the party organs in the state had applauded the peaceful, transparent and all-inclusive conduct of the delegates’ election in all the 20 local government areas of Bauchi state, Wakili had told said that the party leadership in the state had not been fair to its members, especially in Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro local government area.
