Bandits abduct 2 women, reject N200,000, car gift

A gang of six bandits have invaded Tsauri village in Kurfi local government area of Katsina state and adducted a 60-year-old Hajia Yar Atti Tsauri and her 13 year old daughter.

The bandits, who invaded the village around 1:00am on Thursday night with their heavy weapons, rejected N200, 000 given to them and a car gift offered them by the captive’s husband, Alhaji Rabiu (Ade) Tsauri, father of a popular late Islamic scholar, Mallam Dan Amina.

According to an eye witness who pleaded anonymity, “The six bandits came in three motorcycles and kept them at Tsauri Central Primary School situated at the entrance of the village and trekked to Alhaji Rabiu Ade’s house who were preparing for a wedding ceremony of their daughter coming up today.”

It was reliably gathered that Alhaji Rabiu Ade who was on a sick bed offered his CRC car and N200,000 to prevent the abduction of his wife and daughter Malama Hafsat but the bandits turned them down.

One Malam Garbai Harisu who was in Tsauri when the incident happened said, “It took the bandits more than 30 minutes to get access into the room of Hajiya Yar’atti after forcefully breaking her window leading to her abduction and her daughter.

The source further said the bandits gained entry into the house through the fence after an initial resistance by visitors who came to attend the wedding ceremony from Zamfara, Jigawa and Kaduna states.
