Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr Doyin Okupe, said yesterday that Nobel Laurette, Professor Wole Soyinka was playing the ostrich in his latest vituperations against President Goodluck Jonathan.

Okupe said it was unfortunate that Soyinka could descend so low to the extent of likened the president to Nebuchadnezzar.
He said Professor Soyinka deliberately ignored people who are actually engaged in impunity, especially his failure to criticise Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State who he said was a master of impunity.

He said: “Our eminent Prof also sadly plays the ostrich as he failed to reprimand Governor Amaechi who is the national champion of impunity and official recklessness.

“The administration of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan prides itself as the most liberal, keeping faith with adherence to rule of law and tolerance.”
