Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema of Katsina state has donated the sum of N10 million and three truck loads of food items to victims of last Friday’s bomb blasts which killed unspecified number of people at the Emir’s palace mosque in Kano.
Presenting the donation when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso at Kano Government House, Shema said the people of Katsina state were deeply traumatised and shaken by the unfortunate calamity, adding that there was every reason for one to be compassionate in times of disasters.

The governor, however, stated that every Muslim must show concern to the pathetic plight of those who had missed their loved ones, adding that no responsible person would love to wreck havoc of such magnitude.
According to him, the donation will greatly raised the moral of those psychologically depressed by the attack and called on the relatives and parents of the victims to take heart and see the calamity as the will of God.

In his response, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso said Kano and Katsina shared many things in common and thanked Governor Shema for his kind gesture to the victims of the blasts that had consumed the lives of innocent people.
