The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has elected Comrade Shammah S. Kpanja of Isah Mustapha Agwei Polytechnic, Lafia, Nasarawa state as the new president of the union
Also elected at the just concluded 17th National Delegates Conference of the union, held at the Public Service Institute Abuja are; Dr. Zubairu Usman (Vice President), while Lawani F. Jimoh emerged the secretary general.
Others are Auwal Ayuba D, Assistant Secretary General, Dr. Sabiu Yau, Abdullahi , National Treasurer Itooro Ekenemasang , National Publicity Secretary while Comrade Precious Nwakodo emerged as Financial Secretary.
Also elected are Hussaini James as Internal Auditor, the immediate past president Anderson Ezeibe as Ex-Officio, while Dr Abdul’Azeez Badaru emerged as Zone A Coordinator.
Others elected are Zone B Coordinator, Comrade Simji Innocent Lumpye , Comrade Masopa Nuruddeen as Zone C Coordinator while Comrade Richard Iloma emerged the Zone D Coordinator.
