Assembly aspirant lauds INEC, Okowa on PVC

Asaba A frontline contestant for the Delta state House of Assembly,,Aniocha south state constituency on the platform of Labour Party (LP), Comrade Gospel Amaliamifeobu yesterday commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the extension of the deadline for the Continuous Voter Registration exercise and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state for declaring Thursday 16th and Friday 17th August 2018 as public holidays to ensure public servants in the state participate fully in the ongoing Voter’s Registration exercise.
Amaliamifeobu, a practicing journalist with Minaj Broadcasting International (MBI), said the gesture by the electoral body for the extension and the governor for declaring two work free days will further strengthen the tenets of democracy in the country.
He enjoined Deltans and resi- dents to take advantage of the public holiday and the extension date by INEC to register and get their Permanent Voters cards adding that the votes of Nigerians must count in the 2019 general elections and beyond.
The Assembly hopeful further called on his constituents (Aniocha Southerners) to remain resolute and be ready to use their PVCs to change the narratives in 2019.
