Arikesola-Alao for burial today

Oyo state government yesterday said the late deputy President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Alhaji Abdulazeez Arisekola-Alao, is to be laid to rest today in Ibadan.
The government in a statement by the Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Media, Dr. Festus Adedayo, said the late NSCIA deputy boss would be buried at 9 am.

According to the statement, body of the late Arisekola-Alao is expected to touch down at the Ibadan airport this morning after which it will be moved in a motorcade to the Lekan Salami Sports Complex for prayers.
The statement added that all arrangements had been put in place to give the late Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land a befitting burial.
Ogun state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, during his visit to the residence of the deceased, described him as “a good man” who had gone to rest in the bosom of the Almighty Allah.
He said: “We will miss his smile, his warmth, his candour, his inspiring touch and leadership qualities. He was a devoted Muslim, who cares for all sundry, a philanthropist of repute.”
Other dignitaries that visited the residence of Alhaji Arisekola to condole with his family included the former Prelate of the Methodist Church, Archbishop Ola Makinde (rtd), Mr. Oba Otudeko, Chief Ebenezer Obey, Elder Wole Oyelese, Dr. Kunle Olajide and Chief Dejo Raimi.
