Anenih’s visit to Jigawa ‘for PDP’s internal affairs’

As preparation towards the 2015 general elections gathers momentum, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwarts have visited Jigawa state where they held a closed door meeting with state executives.
Blueprint reports that yesterday, the PDP chairman of the Board of Trustee (BoT), Chief Tony Anenih, accompanied by some members and party’s national vice-chairman in-charge of the North-west, Ambassador Ibrahim Musa Kazaure, had paid an unscheduled visit to the Governor Sule Lamido there they held a secret meeting at the presidential lodge at the Government House lasted several hours.

However, speaking to reporters after the meeting on his way back at Dutse international Airport though he refused to disclose the reason for the visit, he equally denied the allegation making the rounds that Lamido might possibly replace the vice-president, Namadi Sambo, in 2015.
He further said “what we have discuss in our meeting is not for tomorrow news paper, Sule Lamido is a party loyalist who deserves all privileges in the party.”
“Sule Lamido is a matured leader, this is my third visit to Jigawa this year and we have no any problem as you said speculating. What had happened is purely a party internal affairs it is normal and even if there is anything it had been resolved amicably.”
