Amaechi commends Jang for quality governance

Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state has commended his Plateau state counterpart, Jonah Jang, for “quality governance,” saying that “the standard of road network I have seen around is quite impressive, and I commend him for that.”
Amaechi disclosed his impression to journalists as he was heading out of the Lamingo ground, venue of the N3 billion launch of a new Catholic Cathedral of the Jos Catholic Archdiocese over the weekend.

Speaking before making a donation on behalf of the people of Rivers state, Amaechi agreed with Governor Jang’s interpretation of the Biblical ‘widow’s might’ which had apparently been misconstrued and applied by members of the public, especially at such functions, and announced that the N50 million donation he made was the might of Rivers state people as opposed to the ‘widow’s might.’

Jang, who was also chairman of the occasion, adjusted the programme of the event to allow his unexpected guest, Amaechi, to make his remarks before the audience that had the Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Most Reverend Ignatius Kaigama, as Chief Host.
Some of those who witnessed the occasion and the cordiality extended to Amaechi, also commended Jang for his show of political maturity and exemplary spirituality which made the occasion successful in spite of the heavy down pour that afternoon.
