AMAC chair to electrify Angwan Hausawa

Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Micah Jiba, has promised to extend electrification to Angwa Hausawa community “so that the natives can benefit from the dividends of democracy.”

Jiba, who while addressing journalists in Abuja, said his administration was committed to improving the living standard of people living in the rural communities by providing them with basic amenities.

He said apart from rural electrification which has been appropriated in the 2014 budget, the construction of road is also linking to the community.
According to him, his government will remain committed to providing projects that affect the lives of the people of AMAC in the 12 political wards.
He said: “In my first tenure in office we tried as much as possible to make sure that communities that came up with their needs are immediately addressed according to their request and more human-oriented projects were also delivered to them.

“In this second tenure we are also focusing on those areas that lack government presence and this particular area though have gained much in terms of polio immunisation, but we will still do more for them and other communities in AMAC.”

According to him, some of the completed projects, including the primary health care centre at Waru, rural electrification at Kpaduma communities and other completed projects cut across the communities are due for commissioning.
