Alleged N6.3bn fraud: Jonah Jang makes no case submission

The former governor of Platrau state, Jonah Jang, has Tuesday, told the State High Court 5, that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), has no case against him.


He told the court presiding over by Justice Daniel Longji, that in all of the 17 count charges the commission’s has not proved the alleged financual crimes label against him.


Ex-Governor Jang along side Yusuf Pam, a cashier in the office of the Secretary to the State Government, under Jang, were standing trial over an alleged misappropriation of Six billion and three hundred million naira.


The presiding Justice Longji, ordered that the EFCC shall, filed its response to the motion filed by Jang, latest Thursday this week, stressing that the defence counsel shall further reply to it, before Monday next week.


Justice Longji, adjourned the matter to Monday 23rd December, 2019 for adoption of all processes.
