Alleged fraud: Ex- governor Shema must face justice- PDP spokesman

The Katsina state Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) spokesman, Alhaji Lawal Audi ‘Yar’adua, has vowed to continue the prosecution of the former governor of the state, Barrister Shehu Shema, in court over alleged stealing of Katsina state public funds.

‘Yar’adua who stated this while addressing the press Tuesday in Katsina noted that the past administration of Aminu Masari had no right to forgive the ‘misdeeds’ of Shema.

“Masari’s APC government has no constitutional right to forgive the former governor for stealing Katsina peoples money”.

He described the conduct of the former governor as shameless, alleging “he has now joined people that disgraced him before the public by calling him thief”.

He said he expected the administration of Masari to apologize to the people of Katsina state for this monumental scandal.

‘Yar’adua disclosed that they were in consultation with their lawyers to make sure the former governor Shema faced justice for allegedly stealing Katsina’s public funds.
