The Black Stars of Ghana were drawn against African football heavyweights in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations yesterday evening in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea capital
The Avram Grant charges are in Group C with Algeria, Senegal and South Africa
The draw was conducted by Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football Hicham El Amrani with the help of Mohamed Aboutreika (ex-Egyptian, multiple Afcon winner), Alphonse Tchami (ex-Cameroon & FIFA World Cup 1994, 1998) and former South Africa winning coach Shakes Mashaba.
While Bafana Bafana have been among the most improved teams in Africa in 2014, they will need to be wary of all three opponents.

Senegal are also returning to something like their best, while Ghana are always tough opponents, especially in competition football. Algeria,Africa’s best team on FIFA ranking have impressed immensely with their form over the past couple of years and should pose a stern test in the Group of Death where anything can happen .
South Africa have met Algeria three times in the past, winning once and drawing twice.

In nine matches against the Black Stars of Ghana, Bafana Bafana have registered an impressive five wins, but their two defeats were comprehensive losses during the qualifiers for the 2006 World Cup.
South Africa have never beaten Senegal, drawing three matches, and losing twice.
The tournament will take place from 17 January to 8 February.
