Adamawa: Fintiri pays N10m bill for patients with tumour

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state weekend paid N10 million medical bill of two indigent patients, Lailatu Shuaibu  Bello and Suwane Boniface, from Jadda and Numan local government areas of the state.

The governor through his deputy, Prof. kaletapwa Farauta, who was at the hospital, expressed concern over the plight of the patients and re-iterated the commitment of the administration to save the lives of its citizen.

He stated that no one will be allowed to die on account of his or her economic status.

“Government is reaching out and will continued to reach out to indigent patients, especially those that cannot carter or afford their medical bills in line with our commitment to  safeguard the lives of our people. Apart from these medical bills paid, a token has also been presented to the patients for their upkeep,” she said.

The governor directed immediate surgery and medical treatment for the patients on government account and wish them quick recovery from their health challenges.

On his part, the medical director of Yola Specialist Hospital, Dr. Wadinga Dauda, who led 3 other surgeons to carry out the surgery,  attributed  the success of the surgery to the governor’s support and the team work of the medical experts.

The parents of the victims thanked the governor for his intervention and compassion which saved the lives of their children and wish him well.
