2024 hajj: Bala orders repair of Bauchi airport facilities 

 

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state Tuesday directed for the total rehabilitation and upgrade of facilities and equipments at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, in a bid to ensure standard in the operations of the airport inline with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA’s) guidelines.

The permanent secretary in the Ministry Of Works, Hamisu Garba, who  stated this after inspecting the ongoing rehabilitation services at the airport, noted that the work is going on smoothly.

Hamisu stated  that the rehabilitation project cut across water management, generating sets, air conditioners, X Ray screening machines and other structures of the airport.

He added that at the moment, the state government has procured new modern communication gadgets to ensure effective communication in the airport’s operations and added that a solar system has been installed to provide alternative power sources during operations.

The permanent secretary expressed gratitude to Governor Bala for his administration’s investment in transport industry and assured that the 2024 hajj operation would be conducted at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, successful without any hitches.
