A group of youths and elders from the Afo tribe of Nasarawa west senatorial district of Nasarawa state, Wednesday, endorsed Barrister Labaran Magaji, also known as Matawalle Toto for Senator 2023.
The group who were led by Alhaji Abubakar Oyibo, a frontline politician and elder statesman in Afo land visited Matawalle in his Abuja office and declared him as the messiah for the zone 2023.
Oyibo explained that the country and the state wre in need of personalities like Matawalle to liberate the people and bring development to the zone.
He then promised to rally round Matawalle and support him for the 2023 elections by coming out en masse to ensure his success at the poll.
Afo is among the largest population tribe in the Nasarawa west senatorial zone and the tribe of Abdullahi Adamu, former governor of Nasarawa state and the current senator representing the zone.
Earlier, Yusuf Loko, former commissioner for education said the aspiration of Matawalle was the beginning of better things to come.
He urged the people of the state and the zone in particular to work together to ensure that the aspiration becomes reality.
Responding, Matawalle thanked them for the visit and assured them of credible representation if eventually elected.
He said tthough he is still consulting, Matawalle promised to make a difference in the red chamber as an experienced lawyer.
Matawalle said he was fully abreast with the challenges of the senatorial district and will not hesitate to create an enabling environment for job opportunities and wealth for the teaming youths in the zone.
