As the world celebrates the 2023 lnternational Youth Day, the Rivers state chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC) weekend joined the rest of the world to celebrate the tenacity, hard work, perseverance, patriotism and energy of youth in the state.
The theme of this year’s celebration- ‘Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World,’ Rivers APC calls on government at all levels to invest heavily and create a knowledge based economy woven around youth.
APC in a statement signed by its state spokesperson, Darlington Nwauju, and made available to newsmen noted with regret that the age balance in politics is still disproportionate as the party believes that more opportunities for younger people in policy development would make political systems in the country better.
The statement pleaded with Rivers youth to place faith in hope, believing that a safer and more egalitarian society can be built with the active participation of the youth in the developmental process.
